Jesus falls for the third time.
Like the other falls, Station 9 has no biblical reference. It is also the other station to not have a dedicated chapel. If your group was carrying a wooden cross, this is where you will drop it off at.
Continue down the path and there will be three doors. One straight ahead, one to the right, and one to the left. Go left. You will enter an open courtyard that is on top of part of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The small dome in the middle is the dome for the Chapel of St Helena inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. There is an area that looks like small apartments. This is where the Ethiopian monks live.
In the southwest corner of the courtyard, an open door will lead you down a dark staircase and through the Ethiopian chapels. There is only one way to go so just follow the path.
You will exit into the courtyard in front of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Do not enter the church yet. Go up the staircase next to the entrance.
